Edwards is an unincorporated community in Kern County, California.It is located 16 miles east-southeast of Mojave, at an elevation of 2,356 feet.Edwards was originally a base housing site for Edwards Air Force Base and is now a part of the base reservation.A post office was established at Edwards in 1951.According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Edwards has a semi-arid climate, abbreviated "BSk" on climate maps.
